Winter Tiger Clubs Parent Volunteers

Want to help run a club? Maybe you have a Middle School student looking for service hour opportunities? Or you have a 7th, 8th grader or high school student who would like to run one and earn the stipend.
Dates: Week of January 25th - week of March 7th.
Time: 3:30pm - 4:45 pm (No clubs on half-days.)
A stipend of up to $15 per child who attends, with a minimum of 6, is available for compensation.
The PTA will reimburse the cost of materials up to $10 per child.

SAMPLE TIGER CLUB IDEAS:
□ Harry Potter club - Read the books, talk about the characters, do projects
□ Chess club - For those who want to learn how or for those who already know how
□ Board games club - Play your favorite board games
□ Homework club - Children will bring their current homework and work on it after school
□ Math games club - Play games with cards/dice to practice basic math facts
□ Book club - Read a book each week and discuss/do project at the meeting
□ Card games club - Learn a new card game each week
□ Drama club - Put on a small-scale play
□ Comic books club - Read comics and write your own
□ Art club - Learn a new technique each week or focus on only one technique (water color, clay, chalk…)
□ Fashion design club - Learn how to design clothing
□ Nutrition club - Learn about nutrition and make healthy snacks
□ Photography club - Learn how to use a camera and take photos
□ Scrapbooking club - Create a scrapbook to record memories
□ Gardening club - Learn about plants and flowers and create a mini-terrarium
□ Author study club - Learn about an author, read their stories, do projects
□ Jewelry making club - Learn how to make jewelry
□ Tae Kwon Do/karate club
□ Pottery club - Learn how to make pottery
□ Carpentry club - Learn how to build out of wood and make a project
□ Babysitting club - Learn how to be a responsible babysitter
□ Animal club - Focus on one animal (horses, dogs, cats) or many
□ Music club - Learn about instruments, writing music, play music
□ Star Wars club - Read the books, talk about the characters, do projects
□ Legos club - Build with other Lego fans(we have the Legos at the school already)
□ Origami club - Learn the art of Japanese paper folding
□ Sewing club - Learn how to sew with simple stitches and create a finished product
□ Calligraphy club - Learn the art of calligraphy
□ Knitting - Learn how to knit a scarf
□ Science club - make simple science experiments with household materials
□ Sign language club - learn how to sign
