Here is an overview of UTS PTA Winter 2018 Tiger Clubs, along with a brief description and instructor’s introduction:

Eyes of the Wild: Habitat Adventures –
All animal lovers and future veterinarians, look no further and sign up for our Eyes of the Wild: Habitat Adventures club! During the six weeks, we will learn about different types of habitats and the special adaptations creatures need to survive in them.  The children will be introduced to several different biomes: rainforests, deserts, grasslands, temperate forests, and the frozen tundra. Through live animal presentations, and maybe an activity or two, we will explore each biome and learn what it is like to eke out a living in the desert, to survive at different levels of the rainforest, and various other interesting things. Each week we will meet different live animals; from the cute, cuddly chinchilla to the amazing wallaby and many more!
Eyes of the Wild is a well-known and popular local company created by Travis W. Gale in 2006 to share his knowledge and passion for wildlife through his LEAP vision (Learn, Enjoy, Advocate and Protect). Travis has a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Education from the College of New Jersey and prior to establishing Eyes of the Wild, he worked as an environmental educator and instructor/program developer for Mad Science, Monmounth County Parks and the New Egypt Schools, among others.

Cartooning Club –     Does your child light up when seeing a sketch pad and a pencil? If so, reserve his/her spot in our Cartooning Club. Drawing plays a big role in assisting children to learn to write and think creatively, and in cognitive and hand-eye coordination development. Apart from that, this club will also help develop your child’s drawing skills under the supervision of Cathy, Evan and Henry Masiello, one of our UTMS students and UT families. Over the six weeks, they will help them to draw more advanced characters which can be their own or a redesign of their favorite. In addition to learning more advanced drawing, the children will play games and participate in other drawing related activities. So sign up, grab a pencil, get set and draw!
The Masiello family has lived in Union Township since 2002, and been part of Union Township School District since 2010.  They all enjoy running, snowboarding, spending time outdoors and are passionate about eating a plant-based, whole-foods diet.  Evan is in the 8th grade and Henry is in 6th grade at the Middle School where they participate in Cross Country, Newspaper Club, Yearbook Club and Student Council.  Both Evan and Henry also love comic books and drawing, and have fond memories of taking comic book and drawing classes at the Hunterdon Art Museum growing up.  They are excited to pass on their love of cartooning to the younger students!

Creative Theatre - Have you ever wanted to star in a play you helped create? Join us this winter, as students learn all about theatre by doing it themselves! Children are guided, by Joe Nowosielski/the instructors from artsTECHsolutions, through a process where they play theatre games, create a story, and work together to make that story into a working theatrical production.  The participants create their own characters, plot, props, costumes, title, and everything else that's needed to make the production complete. You get to play the part you have always dreamed of! The final stage is a performance of their original play for parents, family, and anyone else who wishes to come!
Joe Nowosielski is the owner and executive producer of artsTECHsolutions that have produced over 1400 programs in the past two decades. Joe  began acting in 1986 in regional and children’s theater. He also produced children’s theatre at the Riverfront Dinner Theatre in Philadelphia for many years and currently runs other similar enrichment programs in the area through his company.
